Spalding Plumbers Data Privacy Statement


Personal data is any information that could identify a person (data subject).  Personal sensitive data relates to information concerning a data subject’s racial or ethnic origin, political opinions, religious beliefs, trade union activities, physical or mental health, sexual life, or details of criminal offences.

A data subject is any identified or identifiable person whose personal data is processed by the data controller responsible for the processing.

A data controller determines the purposes for data processing and the way personal data is processed.

Processing is any action or actions performed on personal data such as collection, organisation, storage, erasure or destruction.  This list is not exhaustive.

Data Collection

Spalding Plumbers obtain personal data that is required to complete services.  Spalding Plumbers can source personal data directly from data subjects, via telephone and email correspondence and through when submitted via the contact form.  Personal data is not sourced externally however Spalding Plumbers may receive personal data from third-parties if the data subject has requested this transfer of data.  Equally, Spalding Plumbers can transfer personal data to a third-party if consented by the data subject.  Spalding Plumbers do not otherwise share personal data with third party companies.

Categories of personal data collected by Spalding Plumbers include contact name, address, telephone number and email address.  Additional information may be required to complete services however Spalding Plumbers do not request to receive personal sensitive data and do not retain banking details.

Data Processing

Spalding Plumbers act as a data controller by processing personal data.  Spalding Plumbers process personal data with legitimate interest and only if compatible with the reason the data was originally collected.

Spalding Plumbers may be required to contact data subjects in support of providing services.  Spalding Plumbers will not contact data subjects with unrelated marketing information.

Data Retention and Protection

Spalding Plumbers practise a 6-year retention period after which personal data is securely destroyed; this personal data can be reviewed at any time to determine whether it is still needed, and this can result in destruction of the personal data prior to the deadline of the retention period.  Please be aware that companies can keep personal data for longer if kept for public interest archiving or statistical purposes.

Spalding Plumbers have security measures in place to protect all personal data and to strictly limit access to select persons of authority.  There is also a Firewall (security software) in place to protect internal information from the internet.

Google Analytics

When someone visits a third-party service called Google Analytics is used to collect standard internet log information and details of visitor behaviour patterns.  This is to discover factors such as the number of visitors to various parts of the site.  This information is processed in a way which does not identify anyone; Spalding Plumbers does not make, and does not allow Google to make, any attempt to find out the identities of those visiting our website.


Spalding Plumbers may obtain data from cookies through  These are small text files that are placed on a computer by visited websites; they are widely used in order to make websites work or work more efficiently.  Cookies also enable delivery of more personalised content.  Most web browsers allow some control of most cookies through the browser settings.  Please note that in a few cases some of the website features may not function if cookies are removed from the browser.

External websites may contain links to external websites.  Spalding Plumbers are not responsible for the privacy practices of such other sites and encourage visitors to read the privacy statements of every website that collects personal data.

Social Media

Spalding Plumbers do not store personal information obtained from social media interactions outside of social media platforms unless service requests or enquiries are received; the information is then covered as outlined above.

Your Rights
